Penguins Foundation to Host “Night of Assists” Charity Gala On Feb. 20

The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation will transform PPG Paints Arena into the “Greatest Show on Earth” on Tuesday, February 20, filling the arena with the sights and sounds of a traveling circus for its first-ever “Night of Assists” Charity Gala presented by Highmark.

All Penguins players, coaches and management will be on hand to take part in the organization’s signature charity event of the season.

Following this year’s theme, “Under the Big Top,” guests will enjoy a wide variety of entertainment that captures the mystique of a vintage circus from yesteryear including a snake charmer, jugglers, contortionist and a host of traditional circus performers.

Penguins players will challenge guests to casino games including Black Jack, Roulette and Craps. Players also will greet guests as they try their luck at a variety of carnival games on the arena floor. AT&T Sports Network personality Dan Potash will serve as the gala’s Ring Master and renowned local magician Lee Terbosic will amaze guests with his feats of magic.

An open bar with signature cocktails themed to the event will be available for all attendees, as well as a wine tasting with over 30 global wines and food stations featuring carnival cuisine with a twist. In addition, a VIP Reception will be held in the Lexus Club in partnership with Trib Total Media with players, coaches and management in attendance to meet and mingle with guests.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Penguins Foundation’s vast array of youth initiatives and special needs programs that benefit children throughout the greater Pittsburgh region. The Foundation salutes Highmark for its continuing commitment to the community in presenting this special event, as well as to all “Night of Assists” partners for their support.
