COOL Zone

Shaped like an "igloo," the COOL Zone is an early intervention behavioral health evaluation program for kids ages 3 through 12. Since 2015, the COOL Zone has provided mental health services to 650+ children across all area COOL Zone locations.

Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and UPMC Sports Medicine Announce Open Enrollment for Heads UP Baseline Concussion Testing

The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and UPMC Sports Medicine are once again teaming up to offer the Heads UP Pittsburgh program, an innovative concussion awareness and baseline testing initiative for young athletes throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Pens Pals Presented by PPG aim to provide learning support to children with limited technology resources by sharing science, math and arts activities that can be done at home.

Penguins Foundation Supports Literacy Pittsburgh with Grant and Volunteers

The Penguins Foundation teamed up with Literacy Pittsburgh to help foreign-born students build fluency and familiarity with the English language.

With a Penguins Foundation grant, 15 candidates were able to prepare for the U.S. Citizenship test through a 12-week program.

Penguins Foundation Awards Local Principals as Penguins MVP

In partnership with Allegheny Intermediate Unit and The Grable Foundation, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation stresses the value of education and honor 15 principals from Allegheny County as Penguins Most Valuable Principal (MVP).

This program, in its third year, highlights the amazing work done over this past school year, recognizes principals who demonstrate an innovative approach to learning, a continuous strive for excellence and a passion for their school and students.
