On Friday, March 11, the annual Penguins Charity Game on AT&T SportsNet returns for the 11th straight season to support the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and Mario Lemieux Foundation. The fundraising goal is set at $2 million, once again, for these two charities.
For one game only, a total of approximately 6,600 Penguins Charity Bags filled with team memorabilia and unique items will go on sale online starting at 5:45 PM (EST). The Penguins face the Vegas Golden Knights at 7:00 PM.
The 2022 Penguins Charity Bag features a 1992 championship puck set, metal puck stand forged by Wendell August plus an autographed puck signed by a member of the current roster or by Mario Lemieux. Additional items include Penguins Wireless Ear Buds, Mike Lange Playing Cards, Penguins Cooler and more.
Three Penguins Charity Bag styles will be available, in partnership with Adidas, at the Platinum, Gold and Black levels. The Gold Charity Bag ($1,066) guarantees an autographed third jersey, while the Black Charity Bag ($266) provides fans with the chance-to-win an autographed third jersey. The Platinum Charity Bag ($5,000) guarantees a Sidney Crosby autographed jersey and an Evgeni Malkin autographed puck plus it includes a Mario Lemieux autographed stick and set of branded gloves within a wooden box. Only 66 Platinum Charity Bags are available.
