Each season, the Foundation provides an assist to local charities in the form of grants.
Community Dek Hockey Rink Renovation and Sustainability Grant
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:
• Be one of the deks originally installed by the Penguins Foundation and Highmark.
• Be a registered non-profit organization, municipality, or community group.
• Demonstrate experience in managing sports facilities or similar projects.
• Agree to comply with the requirements outlined in the Dek Hockey Facility Preservation Standards.
• Provide evidence of financial stability and organizational capacity.
TIMELINE
• All applications be submitted by June 17, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.
FAQ
• Are there restrictions regarding which vendors an organization must work with on renovations or repairs? - No. Organizations are welcome to source from any vendor, without restriction.
• Do we have to submit proof of the matching funds? - Yes. The online RFP submission portal will require this information.
• Is there a deadline for the dek renovation, repair or removal to be completed? - Each organization should submit a proposed timeline for completion within the application, but there is not a deadline for completion.
