In partnership with Allegheny Intermediate Unit and The Grable Foundation, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation stresses the value of education and honor 15 principals from Allegheny County as Penguins Most Valuable Principal (MVP).
This program, in its third year, highlights the amazing work done over this past school year, recognizes principals who demonstrate an innovative approach to learning, a continuous strive for excellence and a passion for their school and students.
This program came into existence by recognizing the difficult and unprecedented times our local school systems had to endure amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The Penguins MVP program has continued on in its third year celebrating hard working and deserving principals.
Principals named Penguins MVP were awarded with a monetary donation, courtesy of the Grable Foundation, to use for a school project of their choosing, as well and a Penguins Prize Pack consisting of Pens goodies, including a personalized jersey.
Penguins MVP winners are as follows:
To date, 46 principals across Allegheny County have been recognized as part of the Penguins MVP program and $45,000 has been donated to support schools in our region.
Congratulations to our recipients of the Penguins MVP program. On behalf of the Penguins, Penguins Foundation, Grable Foundation and Allegheny Intermediate Unit, thank you to all principals for making a lasting impression on the youth in our community and making Pittsburgh a better place.
