The Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins announced today that the three organizations will team up for a fourth consecutive year to host a #BurghProud Thanksgiving meal distribution benefiting families in the community.
Families who could use help putting Thanksgiving dinner on their table are invited to attend this drive-thru event on Tuesday, November 26, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Mazeroski Way cul-de-sac. The meal distribution, which is in partnership with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and supported by Giant Eagle, will aim to provide up to 300 families with a turkey, festive produce, apple pie, and a $15 Giant Eagle gift card in addition to special gifts from the three teams.
The Pirates, Steelers and Penguins continue to work with area partners to support those in need and ensure access to resources for struggling community members and families.
Community members are encouraged to visit pittsburghfoodbank.org to make a financial contribution today to help during this time of crisis. Families in need are encouraged to visit a local food pantry and check the Food Bank’s website and social media channels for future distributions.
